Welcome

Welcome!

My name is Jen.  I live in Maryland with my husband of 14 years and our 2 girls.  Both my husband and I have jobs outside the home.  Outside of maternity leave, I've always been a working Mom.  My kids attend school/daycare.

Working outside of the home wasn't what we had planned.  However, I know that I am called to work.  I know that this is part of God's plan for our lives.  And guess what, that's okay with me.

The whole reason why I started this blog because I’m frustrated by the lack of real encouragement available for Christian working Moms.  So many times, in my disappointment in the motherhood journey, I've gone to Mommy blogs looking for some encouragement.  What I see is sappy or entirely unrelatable. I'm not going to tell you to quit your job and start working at home while watching your kids.  I'm not here to change your mind.  But, I am here to tell you that you are not alone.  Working outside the home is okay.  Everything will work out if you just trust the Creator of the Universe.

My favorite place is the beach.  Waves for the busy woman is this idea that life comes at you in waves.  Small waves, big waves, waves that appear to be super big but are actually small.  I think you get it.  Here at waves for the busy woman, I'll aim to give you tips, trick, encouragement, etc.  Little 'waves' of information.  Get it?  :)

I’m not sappy, just honest.  I’m not a professional blogger or the best writer.  But I’m a born again Christian, work full time, have kids, and just want a find a space with encouragement, tips and fun without being over the top sappy and unrelatable.  So if that’s you, welcome.
